Get the hell out of the burbs yo. I've made a pact with a friend, we have both agreed to put the other out of their misery if we end up in the burbs. I'm staying in the city yo.

come back to ottawa!! i miss ya, girly. and you know, i find folks who constantly diss the burbs to be losers (not referring to you specifically, just whiny peeps in general). to actually think that everyone can just live in the city for all time is simply ignorant. some people feel that raising their kids and maintaining a family in the burbs is the best way... who are we to judge them? or they prefer the quiet life of the burbs to the bustling city... which i can appreciate. though i did detest Orleans to a certain degree while i lived there... i really enjoyed living with my family in those days, and i think the burbs was a nice backdrop for that.

to each their own i guess. on passing time... i suggest being crafty. i have recently started making mix cd's for people, but making the cases from scratch as well! it's super fun, and i enjoy doing it and making little visits to the art store. good luck.

I continue my call against the burbs. I find them to be symbolical of this "late capitalist period" as some scholars like to call it that we are currently living in. i.e It promotes an unhealthy livestyle and is generally soul crushing. Of course with peak oil the burbs are toast. Which reminds me that I have to see that movie. Of course i am rather high now so I can't recall its percise name. I was also dimayed to talk to two people today who hadn't heard of Emma Goldman.
